AI Workshop Registration is Open
August 9, 2021Registration is open for the Office of Research and Economic Development-sponsored Artificial Intelligence Workshop for faculty on Thursday, Oct. 14.
The aim of this one-day workshop is to identify existing concentrations of expertise and use this information to facilitate new collaborations, highlight areas of potential strategic investment and form working groups around emerging funding opportunities and applications.
ORED is seeking to involve U of I faculty from three groups in this workshop:
1. Scholars from the computational or mathematical sciences who study Artificial Intelligence, including the development of new algorithms, applications or hardware.
2. Scholars from empirical or theoretical research areas who currently apply Artificial Intelligence approaches in their research.
3. Scholars from empirical or theoretical research areas who are interested in applying Artificial Intelligence to their work by working with new collaborators.
Registration is open from August 9 to September 15, and a full schedule of events will be available after September 20. Please plan on bringing a laptop with you to the workshop.
