AI Workshop

Description

This one-day faculty Artificial Intelligence Workshop is sponsored by the Office of Research and Economic Development (ORED). Its aim is to identify existing concentrations of faculty expertise and use this information to facilitate new collaborations, highlight areas of potential strategic investment and form working groups around emerging funding opportunities and applications.

ORED is seeking to involve U of I faculty from three groups in this workshop:
1. Scholars from the computational or mathematical sciences who study Artificial Intelligence, including the development of new algorithms, applications or hardware.
2. Scholars from empirical or theoretical research areas who currently apply Artificial Intelligence approaches in their research.
3. Scholars from empirical or theoretical research areas who are interested in applying Artificial Intelligence to their work by working with new collaborators.
